도전적행동 발달장애인을 위한 다학제 지원의 실천 방향과 전제 : 초영역적 접근, 전문성의 경계를 넘나들기 위한 구상

Practice Directions and Preconditions for Multidisciplinary Support for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities with Challenging Behavior : Toward a Transdisciplinary Approach Beyond Professional Boundaries

본 연구는 도전적행동 발달장애인을 위한 초영역(transdisciplinary) 접근에 기반한 다학제 지원의 실천 방향과 구현을 위한 전제 조건을 탐색하였다. 초영역 접근에 대한 이론적 고찰과 Kruger와 Shriberg(2004)의 ‘PERFORMS’ 원칙을 기초로, 다학제 지원의 실천 방향과 원칙으로 전인적 접근, 수평적 협력과 상호 학습, 개방적이고 유연한 의사소통, 가족 참여와 존중, 표준화된 절차 및 서비스 구조,기관 차원의 지원 등을 도출하였다. 또한, 실제 구현을 위한 네 가지 전제로 전문가의 확장, 지원의 시스템화, 공통기반 정보의 조직화, 다학제 지원의 이해와 사고 전환 등의 구체적 방안을 제시하였다. 마지막으로 초영역적 다학제 지원이 제도적으로 정착되기 위해 법적 근거 마련, 최중증 발달장애인을 위한 필수 지원체계로의 제도화, 전문 인력 양성, 지역 중심의 거점기관 설립 등의 기반 조성이 필요하다는 것을 제안하였다.

This study explored the practice directions and prerequisites for implementing multidisciplinary support for individuals with developmental disabilities who exhibit challenging behavior, based on a transdisciplinary approach. Through a theoretical review of the transdisciplinary approach and the ‘PERFORMS’ principles proposed by Kruger and Shriberg(2004), the study identified key directions and principles for multidisciplinary support: a holistic approach, horizontal collaboration and mutual learning, open and flexible communication, family participation and respect, standardized procedures and service structures, and institutional support. In addition, four core preconditions for effective implementation are proposed: the expansion of professional roles, systematization of support structures, organization of shared foundational information, and the development of shared understanding and paradigm shifts in multidisciplinary collaboration. Lastly, for transdisciplinary multidisciplinary support to be institutionalized, the study emphasizes the need to establish a legal foundation, integrate this model into a national support system for individuals with severe developmental disabilities, train specialized personnel, and establish regional hub institutions to provide structural and operational support.
