기후 변화 대응 실천 지향 교수학습 적용을 위한 초⋅중등 가정과 교육 관련성 탐색

Exploring the Relevance of Elementary⋅Secondary Home Economics Education for the Application of Action-Oriented Teaching and Learning Approaches to Climate Change Adaption

2022 개정 교육과정은 생태⋅기후 환경의 변화에 대응할 수 있는 학습자의 역량을 함양하는데 개정의 중점을 두고 있으며, 2023년에 한국교육과정평가원에서는 기후 변화 대응을 위한 실천 지향 교수학습 적용하기 위한 연구를 수행한 바 있다. 이에 본 연구는 2022 개정 교육과정에 따른 가정과 특성을 고려하여 기후 변화 대응 교육의 가정과 교육 적용 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 먼저, 기후 변화 관련된 선행 연구를 분석하고, 2023년 한국교육과정평가원 연구의 분석 틀을 기준으로 2022 개정 가정과 교육과정과의 관련성을 분석하였다. 그 결과 기후 변화 대응을 위한 실천 지향 교수학습의 내용 체계 및 수업 절차와 가정과 성취 기준 간에 높은 관련성이 있었으며, 특히 지식에 해당하는 기후 변화 현상이나 원인보다는 우리 생활에서의 영향, 감수성과 관련된 내용이 더 관련성이 높게 나타났다. 또한 적응과 완화에 해당하는 기후 행동 관련하여 가정 교과에서는 주로 ‘생활환경과 지속 가능한 선택’ 영역을 중심으로 개인적 사회적 실천에 해당하는 내용에 더 집중되어 있었다. 본 연구는 향후 기후 변화 대응 교육 내용을 개발하거나 가정과 수업에 적용할 때 지침을 제공한다는 점에서 유용하며, 기후변화 대응을 위한 가정과 교수학습 체계화를 위해 이바지할 수 있다.

The 2022 Revised Curriculum prioritizes cultivating learners' competencies to respond to ecological and climate environmental changes. In 2023, the Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation conducted research on applying action-oriented teaching and learning for climate change adaptation. Accordingly, this study aimed to explore direction for home economics education for climate change adaptation, considering the characteristics of home economics subject under the 2022 Revised Curriculum. First, it analyzed prior research on climate change, constructed an analytical framework centered on the 2023 KICE study, and then analyzed the relevance of the 2022 revised Home Economics curriculum based on this framework. The results showed a high correlation between AcTForCCE framework for climate change response and the Home Economics achievement standards. Furthermore, regarding climate actions including ‘adaptation’ and ‘mitigation’, the Home Economics curriculum primarily focused on content pertaining to personal and social practices, centered around the ‘Living Environment and Sustainable Choices’ content domain. This study is useful in providing guidelines for developing future climate change response education content or applying it to home economics classes, and it can contribute to systematizing home economics teaching and learning for climate change response.
