한국 스릴러 영화 속 여성 캐릭터의 특성 변화에 대한 연구 - <도어락>과 <왓칭>을 중심으로 -

A Study on the Change of Female Characters Property in South Korean Thriller Films - Focused on <Door Lock> and <Watching> -

In Korea, the feminist discourse has influenced cultural and artistic worlds, resulting in a change of properties of female characters. Following this trend, researchers have been attracted to the recently released films <Door Lock> and <Watching>. These two films feature female main characters, but as expected, they do not follow the previous male character themes. It is also worth noting that both films dealt with the fears that women face daily. Based on this, this study analyzes the changed perspective of recent female character-based thriller films on the characteristics of existing Korean thrillers with female characters. The main characteristics of the existing female character thrillers were extracted and defined as four types: victim, objectification, passivity, and maternity. However, the main characters of <Door Lock> and <Watching> showed a breakaway perspective.
