In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, human creativity became more important than any other element. As the functions and roles of arts and culture education gradually increase as a national growth engine in response to the rapidly changing demands of the times, the government begins full-scale arts and culture education throughout the country with the aim of cultivating creative talents. Especially, as the arts and culture education is carried out in the school which is the public education field, it has a positive educational effect that can not be obtained from the traditional education. In particular, arts and culture education, which is distinguished from traditional art education, has achieved a little visible result through rapid growth in a long time. However, arts and culture education in school, which started as part of the national policy project, shows clear limitations and problems in terms of quality despite the rapid growth in quantitative support. In this study, we will discuss the problems and improvement plans of arts and culture education in school over the past 10 years based on the current status of film education.
