Disciple of Platōn and Aristoteles, Theophrastos who is philosopher of Greek tells that there are 30 characteristics of human being in his book. In this way, various characters are needed in the work of arts. Because even in the same situation, the behavior that character takes is different. Then, the audiences is not simply follow the flow of stories, but based on their interest and affection for the character, they can identify with the audience themselves and become immersed in the work of arts. Through the character, the work of art becomes vitality. Many actors forget the significance of these characters and memorize the ambassadors and miss out on the process of character building in the postponement. This phenomenon occurs more frequently in film actors who believe in capturing camera moments than theater actors who go on stage for a long time. Although, movie acting contains all the important cinematography camera and editing technique, it is not easy to shine as a movie actors without supporting great acting ability. For an actor who wants to show a good performance, the character building work for the role is necessary and systematic research is needed. It is studied in this thesis that Stanislavski system which widely known as traditional methodology of constructing characters as well as Michael Chekhov method which written by Michael Chekhov known as not only director but also educators acting. In addition, it is examined that not only stage for a play, but also importance of constructing and utilizing characters in video media such as movie shooting site.
