The Exploration of Jiang Wen’s Artistic Style of Film

JIANG Wen is a director who is quite romantic and charming. With his unique artistic style, his films play an important role to the development of Chinese film industry. This article is based on the In the Heat of the Sun, Devils on the Doorstep, The Sun Also Rises, Let The Bullets Fly as the research objects. The writer explore JIANG Wen’s artistic characters by analyzing these four films, whose special styles of art are: Primitive desire; Personality of black humor; exotic Romantic performance; Strong visual impact and chic auditory perception. This article analyses the reasons of how this special art styles emerged in JIANG Wen’s films from his growth experiences, learning practice and pursuit for artistic. This paper shows us the huge important of Jiang’s style film to Chinese film industry.
