When power conceives humankind as relations of domination and subordination by imbalance of power and the relations are considered to be a value formed prior to state power, power can be a limit that can not be overcome by humankind. When this power system is considered to produce desire and historical time flowed in, the revenge in the movies of director Park Charn-wok can be an ingrained tendency of humankind and the criteria of good and evil, right and wrong can be vague as well. The subversive cognition of violence and revenge threatening the common idea about good and evil is the core drive to reorganize Park Chan-wook’s movies as a grotesque world. The attitude watching those humankind seems to produce by design an unexplainable thing through the narrative structure. Most frames are full of Mise-en-Scĕne and sometimes, carefully calculated styles make us feel not only visual pleasure but also an excessive condition through making a narrative that is unpleasant to be read publicly, metalanguage, beautiful art and spatial structure. The power in the movies of director Park Chan-wook is dynamically functional and exist but in the viewpoint of the director to the world, ‘Vagueness’ looks like intensity of space per scene as an important core language but something invisible can be something more important.
