The basic that is applied to all animated film is these movies are not created by the continuous filming but by the single-frame cinematography. This single-frame cinematography or filming frame by frame is not only the technical index that divides an animated film and live-action movie but also a fundamental technique which is generating the movement-image in animated film. The movement is the core image generated by the result of this filming technique and it is the biggest trait of animated film. Pixilation and Rotoscoping took a characteristic position among the numerous techniques of animated films. Despite the other techniques photographs stand still subjects and creates a movement, pixilation and rotoscoping converts the movementimage of alive subject already existed to an animation image through filming processes. This paper will analyze technical characteristics and aesthetic characteristic of a pixilation and rotoscoping technique based on movement-image in animated film and accordingly consider a correlation between technology and aesthetics.
