A Study of Documentary Properties as a Medium- Focusing on 'Propaganda' in Documentary Photography & Film -

In these days, the meaning of documentary is not cleary persuade to people because a word of documentary is variously extended and used much. So this problem of extended word of documentary, I would like to try redefine the meaning of documentary on photography and film with the 'documentum'. Also in this research, I try to fined both with a case study the problem of real objective even if documentary photography offered an objective information with 'documentum' and try to fined between common factor and a point of difference on film as another medium. This research, mainly focused and fined the relationship of propaganda with President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal plan between F.S.A(Farm Security Administration) documentary photography and Lenin Riefenstahi's documentary film. It is important to search out propaganda especially photography and film because it still constantly operate and repeat in society, politic, religion, economy, etc with serious discussion.
