Film and TV are very close media that have not only sound but also moving image. In there way of progress, sometimes they were feuding neighbor and sometimes get along well. Since they are close there should be the way to enhance the cooperation between film and TV. Overseas case of cooperation between two industries are very active. French broadcasting companies have film production quota. They required to invest certain proportion of their revenue to film production. German broadcasting companies invest their revenue to film production fund according to the agreement between broadcasting companies and film productions to secure broadcast programs. While Japanese broadcasting companies are not required to schedule film, they cooperate with film productions to secure additional revenue sources, and consequently the titles that the broadcasting companies participated have succeeded in the box offices. In Korea, recent success of TV mini-series that made by film production drew attention of the content that combined the advantages of TV dramas and films. In 2009 TV mini-series 'Iris' marked as a successful case of cooperation between TV and film with efficient production process, sharing of copyright between broadcasting company and film production, sales at subsequent markets, and merchandising. In 2010 'Choono(purchasing slaves)' was the phenomenon TV miniseries wrote by film writer. These phenomena promoted the issue of the cooperation between broadcasting and film industries. To promote cooperation of two industries, we should concentrate on reeducation of film and TV makers can do both works and exchange of staff. In policy, the Communication Commission and Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism should put the policy that can be helpful for both industries.
