HD장편영화 <하얀나비> 제작과정을 통해 살펴본 대안적 디지털 영화제작 방안연구- 촬영을 중심으로 -

Digital Film Production and its Alternative with the Focus on the Feature HD Film <White Butterfly>

At the presence of vital digital filming this study aims to analyze the postproduction workflow, the filming/shooting itself, defined by the functions and menus of the camera and furthermore how to improve them. The focus will be on the workflow of the two most common cameras where the digital and the analog processes are separated, the Red-One Camera and the Varicam. This study will also outline the efficient method of using both of them. By that a new paradigm of filming methods can be set, which is impossible to achieve when shooting on film. There is also the aim to improve the development as well as the competitiveness of the Korean art of filming. Additionally, on the basis of a real case-study the process of an independent movie (which can hardly take the financial burden of post-production in a standard commercial film-industry environment) and also the DI color-correction process in such a low-budget project (which is directly connected to the shooting itself), will be shown in the context of hopefully supporting the improvement of the quality of digital film and also its alternative.
