This study suppose as preceding study for Semiological analysis regarding the space in Japanese most famous animation director Hayao Miyazaki's animations. Therefore, this study has been tried to find out how the change of space metamorphosed into the change of dominant discourse. Miyazaki's <Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind>, <Laputa: Castle in the Sky> and <Mononoke Hime> which were shown the narrative structure most definitely were symbolized 'the Valley of Wind', 'Laputa' and 'Forrest' suchlike spaces into the 'signs' and these signs reproduced particular discourse while leaded description of events. Though I was provided Marxist-oriented and recreationist-oriented 'War' and 'Heroic Saver' as Miyazaki's dominant discourse throughout text, other animations which were not symbolized the spaces or just assumed it as minor codes were deconstructed the narrative structure and demoted the dominant discourse at the front as common. These un-narrative lyrical animations rather close to Miyazaki's true purpose of animation making. This study is only preceding study as stated above. This study, hereafter, will be complemented and executed more specific Semiological analysis to specific spaces in each Miyazaki's animations.
