A Study on Aspects of the Change in Film Industry Structure by the OTT Platform on the Screen

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the clear boundary between movies and TV dramas released in theaters is being blurred due to the situation where it is not easy to screen theaters and the increased consumption of movies through OTT. With fast development of digital technology, industry of film contents has rapidly changed. This thesis attempted to discuss the problems faced by the film industry caused by changes in its environment, in accordance with its future trends. For this, it summarized the current conditions of the film and TV drama industry, which have experienced changes OTT Platform such as Netflix. Also, it discussed changes in the forms of mobile watching movie and production methods caused by the OTT services. However, the emergence of OTT services are facing a situation where these traditional film consumption methods are rapidly changing and promoting changes in the film industry. Among these changes, the consumption through online media will extend to how an end-user consumes films, and it is forecasted that movies will progressively become structures that are preserved by screenings, mainly of a small number of large-scale' s blockbuster films. This issue also sought to conduct in-depth discussions.
