Roland Barthes’ “Myth” is a combination of structuralist semiotics and ideological criticism, which helps to analyze the inner working mechanism of cultural text production of cultural meaning and ideological concepts. Internet video has become the most used form of media in people's daily life. This paper compares the communication modes of commonly used video platforms from the perspective of the symbolic communication of Internet images, and analyzes the difference between bullet hell video and other Internet videos. The emergence of bullet hell broke the viewing mode of unilateral output of images to the audience. The superimposed relationship between bullet hell and the video in the bullet hell video changes the symbolic composition of the image, thereby affecting the myth of the image.
