Post Coronavirus, a shift of Video Contents Production Technology; Virtual Production

Since the first outbreak of COVID-19 was reported in December 2019, marking a new year. The year 2020 has left rapid change in short time in human civilization, as it is remembered as the year of Corona 19, not the past, present, and future. The COVID-19 impact on society, economy, and culture as a whole as well as daily life, also has given big transition to media industry in shortest time and whole direction. Accordingly, this study examines change trends in the media content market and film industry due to the spread of COVID-19 over the past year and ecosystem trends to review the rapidly changing film industry by dividing them into theaters, distribution structure, production site, and production technology. By this, a new production method called ‘Virtual Production’ which is drawing more attention in the production site is introduced and suggest it as an advanced production system to gain global competitiveness in the post-corona era through content production cases.
