영화 <서치>를 통해 본 영화 서사의 단절지향성

Contemporary films are apt to deal with past environment. Past can be defined as ‘Disconnection-Oriented’ when it comes to film narrative. Disconnection is widely used as a key factor in contemporary film narrative and more films that does not set in past environment can be classified as disconnection-oriented films. While contemporary characteristics of contemporary films are scarce these days, <Searching> is one of the outstanding examples which show ‘Hyper Connectivity’ on its narrative structure. Analyzing <Searching> reveals that fundamental factors which involves in narrative structure of the film under ‘story’ and ‘act’ scale are all based on disconnection while subordinate factors under ‘sequence’ and ‘scene’ scale are equally divided by ‘disconnection’ and ‘connectivity’. The conclusion that even a film that deals with hyper connectivity are structurally supported by disconnection shows how far contemporary film narratives depend on disconnection-oriented characteristic.
