Because of the new digital technology, recently the cameras including video and movie are developed dramatically. Especially, small cameras like Sony HVR-Z1, Canon XH H1, JVC GY-HD250U, Panasonic AG-HVX200 etc., are popular for both professionals and amateurs, and those cameras have excellent performances compare to their low prices. There could be so many reasons to choose a camera to make a documentaries or dramas. Recently, I have used Sony HVR-Z1 camera for shooting my documentary, and through the production, I have learned a lot of things about the camera. Therefore, I would like to share the experiences and the important menu stuffs to somebody who are interested in the camera. As I described before, when you make a documentary or a drama, you have to choose what kind of camera you have to use. Probably, it depends on your budget, production size and camera man's opinion etc. It is not an important thing which camera you are using for your production, the most important thing is that how much you are familiar with your camera and how much you know the abilities of the camera.
