토픽 모델링을 활용한 대학 성인학습자 교육 연구 동향 분석

Analysis of Research Trends Related to Adult Learners in Higher Education Using Topic Modeling

본 연구는 대학 성인학습자 교육 연구 동향을 분석하고 향후 연구 방향을 탐색하고자 PRISMA 절차에 따라 분석 대상 논문을 선정하고, R을 활용하여 LDA 기반 토픽 모델링 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 대학 성인학습자 교육 연구는 2004년부터 시작되어 2019년 이후 증가세를 보이다가 2024년부터 급증하는 추세를 보였다. LDA 토픽 모델링 분석을 통해 총 7개의 주요 토픽이 도출되었으며, 토픽 빈도순서대로 ‘자기주도학습 및 학업몰입 요인’, ‘학습참여동기 및 만족도 영향 요인’, ‘대학생활적응 및 진로탐색’, ‘온라인 및 원격 교육’, ‘평생교육 정책 및 평생교육체제지원사업’, ‘평생학습사회의 변화와 역할’, ‘교육 프로그램 개발 및 역량강화’로 나타났다. 본 연구는 LDA 기반 토픽 모델링이라는 객관적 분석 방법을 통해 대학 성인학습자 교육 연구의 흐름을 체계적으로 파악하고, 향후 연구 방향을 제시함으로써 새로운 연구 주제 발굴에 기초자료를 제공한다는 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

This study systematically analyzes research trends concerning adult learners in higher education to provide a comprehensive overview and propose future research directions. Following the PRISMA protocol for article selection, we performed text data preprocessing and LDA-based topic modeling using the R program. The results show that research on this subject commenced in 2004, began to increase quantitatively in 2019, and has grown sharply since 2024. Through LDA topic modeling analysis, a total of seven major topics were identified, arranged in order of topic frequency: (1) Factors in Self-Directed Learning and Academic Engagement, (2) Factors Influencing Learning Motivation and Satisfaction, (3) Adaptation to University Life and Career Exploration, (4) Online and Distance Education, (6) Lifelong Education Policies and System Support Projects, (7) Changes and Roles in a Lifelong Learning Society, and (5) Educational Program Development and Competency Enhancement. The significance of this research lies in its use of LDA topic modeling to objectively map the field's trajectory, providing a basis for future studies and the discovery of new research avenues in adult learner education.
