학교 밖 청소년의 대인 간 문제해결력 변화를 위한 ‘양 떼를 지켜라’ 보드게임 활용

Using the ‘Protect the Sheep’ board game to improve interpersonal problem solving skills in out-of-school youth

본 연구는 ‘양 떼를 지켜라’ 보드게임 프로그램이 학교 밖 청소년의 문제해결력과 대인 간 문제해결력에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 참여 과정에서 나타난 심리적 변화를 탐색하고자 하였다. 경기도 소재 학교 밖 청소년지원센터에 등록된 청소년 3명을 대상으로 사전 면담과 인형심리평가를 거쳐 참여자를 선정하고, 5회기 보드게임 프로그램을 실시하였다. 문제해결력 척도(PSI)와 대인 간 문제해결력 평가(IPS)를 사전․사후로 실시하여 양적 변화를 분석하고, 프로그램 참여 과정은 이야기 구조를 중심으로 질적으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 세 명 모두 PSI와 IPS 점수가 상승하여 문제해결 능력과 대인 갈등 대처 능력이 향상되었음을 확인하였다. 사례 분석에서도 경쟁, 도전, 문제해결, 보상, 동일시 단계에서 자기표현과 감정조절이 강화되는 심리적 변화를 나타냈다. 이러한 결과는 ‘양 떼를 지켜라’ 보드게임이 학교 밖 청소년의 문제해결력 및 대인관계 기술을 증진시키는 치료적 매체로서의 가능성을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the ‘Protect the Sheep’ board game program on the problem-solving ability and interpersonal problem-solving ability of out-of school youth and to explore psychological changes that appeared in the process of participation. Participants were selected through preliminary interviews and doll psychological evaluations for three adolescents registered at the Youth Support Center outside the school in Gyeonggi-do, and the 5th board game program was conducted. The problem-solving ability scale (PSI) and interpersonal problem-solving ability evaluation (IPS) were conducted before and after to analyze quantitative changes, and the process of participating in the program was qualitatively analyzed, focusing on the story structure. As a result, it was confirmed that all three of them increased their PSI and IPS scores, improving problem-solving ability and interpersonal conflict coping ability. Case analysis also showed psychological changes in which self-expression and emotional control were strengthened in the stages of competition, challenge, problem-solving, reward, and identification. These results suggest the possibility of ‘Protect the Sheep’ board game as a therapeutic medium to improve problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills of out-of-school youth.
