This review systematically analyzed the latest technological trends among global hearing aid manufacturers to provide an overview of current advancements and suggest future research directions. Technical documents from six major companies-Beltone (GN Hearing, Chicago, IL, USA), Oticon (Demant,Smørum, Denmark), Phonak (Sonova, Stäfa, Switzerland), Signia (WS Audiology, Iselin, NJ, USA), Starkey (Starkey, Eden Prairie, MN, USA), and Widex (WS Audiology, Lynge, Denmark)-were reviewed. Hearing aid technologies were categorized into four domains: advanced hearing optimization, tinnitus management, application features, and power management. The key features, operational principles, clinical evidence, and unique characteristics of each manufacturer were analyzed. Recent innovations incorporate artificial intelligence, deep neural networks, wireless connectivity, and real-time signal processing, enabling speech enhancement, noise reduction, and personalized experiences. Tinnitus solutions focus on sound therapy and individualized masking. Application-based developments include health tracking, remote fitting, and device maintenance, while power management enhances battery efficiency. Clinical findings demonstrate significant improvement in speech intelligibility, comfort, and user satisfaction. Advancements in hearing aids have markedly improved quality of life for individuals with hearing loss. To ensure validated clinical outcomes and reliability, independent research free from manufacturer bias remains essential in this fast-evolving field.
