초등교사 체육 전문성 함양을 위한 교사 교육 개선 방안

Improving Teacher Education for Enhancing Elementary School Teachers’ Physical Education Expertise

본 연구는 초등교사 체육 전문성을 위한 초등 예비 교사교육과 초등 현직 교사 교육의 개선 방안을 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구의 참여자는 초등교사 경험이 있는 스포츠 교육학 전공의 대학교수 2명과 스포츠 교육학 전공의 초등교사 1명이다. 본 연구자는 2025년 1학기 동안(2025.5.18.~6.15) 연구 참여자와의 인터뷰를 활용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 인터뷰 자료를 귀납적 범주분석 방법을 활용하여 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등 예비 교사교육과 초등 현직 교사 교육의 개선 방향의 공통점을 교육과정 측면, 교수․학습 측면, 교사 교육 측면으로 범주화하였다. 둘째, 초등 예비 교사교육과 초등 현직 교사 교육의 교육적 의미는 교육과정 측면, 교수․ 학습 측면, 교사 교육 측면으로 범주화되었다. 교육과정 측면의 교육적 의미는 체육수업의 실천 가능성과 교육적 활용도 강화 그리고 전인교육 및 창의․인성 함양 실현으로 나타났다. 교수․학습 측면의 교육적 의미는 학생 참여도와 몰입도 향상, 학습 지속 동기 부여, 미래 지향적 체육수업 모델 구축 등이 도출되었다. 교사 교육 측면의 교육적 의미는 수업의 질 향상, 체육교육에 대한 긍정적 인식, 협력 중심의 체육교육 발전, 현장 적응력 강화 및 지속적 성장 지원 등으로 범주화되었다.

The purpose of this study is to explore ways to improve elementary pre-service teacher education and in-service teacher education for enhancing elementary school teachers' expertise in physical education. The participants in this study were two university professors majoring in sport pedagogy with experience as elementary school teachers, and one elementary school teacher majoring in sport pedagogy. The researcher collected data through interviews with the study participants during the first semester of 2025 (May 18–June 15, 2025). The collected interview data were analyzed using the inductive category analysis method, and the research results are as follows. First, the commonalities in the direction of improvement of elementary pre-service teacher education and elementary in-service teacher education were categorized into curriculum aspects, teaching and learning aspects, and teacher education aspects. Second, the educational significance of elementary pre-service teacher education and elementary in-service teacher education was categorized into curriculum aspects, teaching and learning aspects, and teacher education aspects. Specifically, the educational significance in terms of the curriculum was expressed as the practical feasibility and educational utilization of physical education classes, and the realization of holistic education and the cultivation of creativity and character. The educational implications in terms of teaching and learning include improving student participation and immersion, motivating students to continue learning, and establishing a future-oriented physical education class model. The educational significance of teacher education was categorized into improving the quality of classes, positive perception of physical education, development of cooperation-centered physical education, strengthening field adaptability, and supporting continuous growth.
