아동 및 청소년의 신체상과 자기효능감이 또래관계에 미치는 영향: 신체질량지수(BMI) 집단별 차이를 중심으로

A Study on the Influences of Body Image and Self-Efficacy on Peer Relationships of Children and Adolescents: Focusing on Differences by Body Mass Index(BMI) Group

본 연구의 목적은 아동 및 청소년의 신체질량지수(BMI) 집단별로 신체상과 자기효능감이 또래관계에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는 것이다. 본 연구를 위해 경기, 부산지역 초등학생과 고등학생 총 1,300명을 대상으로 신체상 척도, 자기효능감 척도, 또래관계 척도를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS Win 21.0 프로그램을 이용해 빈도분석, 평균, 표준편차, Pearson의 상관관계 분석, 단계적 중다회귀분석을 진행하였다. 주요 결과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아동 저체중 집단의 경우 사회적 지지, 친밀, 우위에 사회적 자기효능감만이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 청소년 저체중 집단의 경우 사회적 지지, 친밀, 우의에 사회적 자기효능감이 영향을 미쳤으며 대립에는 신체상이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 아동 정상체중 집단의 경우 사회적 지지에 일반적 자기효능감, 신체상, 사회적 자기효능감 순으로, 우의에 사회적 자기효능감과 일반적 자기효능감 순으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 처벌/주도권, 대립에는 일반적 자기효능감이, 친밀에는 사회적 자기효능감이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 청소년 정상체중 집단의 경우 사회적 지지에 사회적 자기효능감, 일반적 자기효능감 순으로, 처벌/주도권, 친밀, 우의에는 사회적 자기효능감이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 아동 과체중 이상 집단의 경우 사회적 지지에 사회적 자기효능감과 일반적 자기효능감 순으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 대립에는 일반적 자기효능감, 친밀과 우의에는 사회적 자기효능감이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 청소년 과체중 이상 집단의 경우 사회적 지지에는 일반적 자기효능감과 신체상 순으로, 친밀에는 일반적 자기효능감과 신체상 순으로, 우의에는 일반적 자기효능감과 신체상 순으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of physical image and self-efficacy on peer relationships by body mass index(BMI) group of children and adolescents. For this study, a total of 1,300 elementary and high school students in Gyeonggi-do and Busan were subjected to a body image scale, a self-efficacy scale, and a peer relationship scale. The collected data were subjected to frequency analysis, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s correlation analysis, and stepwise multiple regression analysis using the SPSS Win 21.0 program. The main results are as follows. First, in the case of the children in low-weight group, only social support, intimacy, and so friendship were found to have an effect on social self-efficacy. In the case of the adolescents in low-weight group, social self-efficacy influenced social support, intimacy, and friendship, and body image influenced confrontation. Second, in the case of the children in normal-weight group, it was found that social support was influenced in the order of general self-efficacy, body image, and social self-efficacy, and friendship in the order of social self-efficacy and general self-efficacy. In addition, it was found that general self-efficacy had an effect on punishment/ leadership and confrontation, and social self-efficacy had an effect on intimacy. In the case of the adolescents normal-weight group, social self-efficacy and general self-efficacy were influenced in the order of social support, and social self-efficacy was indicated to have an effect on punishment/leadership, intimacy, and friendship. Third, in the case of the children in over-weight group, social support was found to have an effect in the order of social self-efficacy and general self-efficacy. In addition, social self-efficacy was indicated to have an effect on intimacy and friendship, and general self-efficacy was indicated to have an effect on confrontation. In the case of the adolescents in over-weight group, social support was found to have an effect in the order of general self-efficacy and body image, intimacy in the order of general self-efficacy and body image, and friendship in the order of general self-efficacy and body image.
