어머니의 아동기 외상 경험이 역기능적 양육행동에 미치는 영향: 단절 및 거절 도식의 매개효과

The Effects of Mothers’ Childhood Trauma on Dysfunctional Parenting: The Mediating Role of Disconnection and Rejection Schemas

본 연구의 목적은 어머니의 아동기 외상 경험이 단절 및 거절 도식을 매개로 역기능적 양육행동에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해, 미취학(3~5세)부터 초등학교 저학년(1~3학년)에 해당하는 자녀를 양육하고 있는 어머니 157명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였으며, 회수된 153부를 최종 분석에 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0을 통해 빈도분석, 평균, 표준편차, Pearson의 상관관계분석, 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과 는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어머니의 아동기 외상 경험이 역기능적 양육행동에 미치는 영향에서 단절 및 거절 도식은 부분 매개 역할을 보였다. 둘째, 어머니의 아동기 외상 경험이 양육행동의 하위변인인 거부·방임에 미치는 영향에서 단절 및 거절 도식은 완전 매개 역할을 하였다. 셋째, 어머니의 아동기 외상 경험이 양육행동의 하위변인인과보호·허용에 미치는 영향에서 단절 및 거절 도식은 완전 매개 역할을 하였다. 이상의 연구 결과를 토대로 후속 연구에 대한 제언 및 시사점을 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of mothers’ childhood trauma on their dysfunctional parenting behaviors, focusing on the mediating role of disconnection and rejection schema. A questionnaire was administered to 157 mothers with children attending preschool (ages 3-5) and lower elementary school(grades 1-3). The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 for frequency, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s correlation, and hierarchical regression. The major findings of this study are as follows. First, the disconnection and rejection schema partially mediated the effect of mothers’ childhood trauma experiences on dysfunctional parenting behaviors. Second, the disconnection and rejection schema fully mediated the effect of mothers’ childhood trauma experiences on the parenting behavior subfactor of rejection-neglect. Third, the disconnection and rejection schema fully mediated the effect of mothers’ childhood trauma experiences on the parenting behavior subfactor of overprotection-permissiveness.
