미혼 남녀의 원가족 건강성이 결혼의향에 미치는 영향: 친밀감에 대한 두려움의 매개효과

The Effect of Family of Origin Health on Marriage Intention in Un-married Men and Women: The Mediating Effect of Fear of Intimacy

본 연구는 미혼 남녀를 대상으로 원가족 건강성과 결혼의향 간의 관계를 탐색하고, 이 관계에서 친밀감에 대한 두려움의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 이를 위해 20〜39세 미혼 남녀 400명을 대상으로 설문조 사를 실시하고, Pearson 상관분석과 위계적 회귀분석, Baron과 Kenny(1986)의 절차에 따라 매개효과를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 원가족 건강성과 친밀감에 대한 두려움은 유의한 부적 상관을 보였으며, 친 밀감에 대한 두려움과 결혼의향 역시 유의한 부적 상관을 나타냈다. 반면, 원가족 건강성과 결혼의향은 유의한 정적 상관을 보였다. 또한, 원가족 건강성은 결혼의향에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으 며, 친밀감에 대한 두려움은 이 관계를 완전 매개하는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 친밀감에 대한 두려움이 결혼의향에 영향을 미치는 심리적 경로를 실증적으로 규명하였으며, 내면아이치료와 이마고 관 계치료와 같은 정서 중심의 상담 개입 가능성을 제시하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 후속 연구에 대한 제언과 시사점을 논의하였다.

This study explored the relationship between family-of-origin health and marriage intention among unmarried adults, focusing on the mediating effect of fear of intimacy. A survey was conducted with 400 unmarried individuals aged 20–39. Pearson correlation and hierarchical regression analyses were used to test the mediation model following the procedure outlined by Baron and Kenny (1986). Results showed significant negative correlations between family-of-origin health, fear of intimacy, and marriage intention. Family-of-origin health directly influenced marriage intention, with fear of intimacy fully mediating this relationship. These findings empirically clarify the psychological pathway through which fear of intimacy impacts the intention to marry. The study also suggests the clinical applicability of emotion-focused interventions, particularly Inner Child Therapy and Imago Relationship Therapy, in reducing fear of intimacy and supporting relational development. Based on these results, implications for future research and therapeutic practice are discussed.
