중년기 부부의 성인애착이 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향: 다름수용의 매개효과

The Effects of Midlife Couples’ Adult Attachment on Marital Satisfaction: The Mediating Effects of Difference Acceptance

본 연구의 목적은 중년기 부부의 성인애착이 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향에 대한 다름수용의 매개효과를 살펴보는데 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구의 대상은 40~65세인 전국의 중년기 부부로, 성인애착 유형, 커플 관계 다름수용, 결혼만족도에 관해 360부의 설문지를 분석에 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 27.0을 이용하여 매개효과를 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, 애착회피와 애착불안은 다름수용을 통해서 결혼만족도에 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 중년기 부부의 불안정 성인애착과 결혼만족도의 관계에서 다름수용이 완전매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 중년기 부부의 애착회피와 애착불안 유형 모두 결혼만족도 향상을 위해 다름수용이 중요한 변인임을 시사한다. 본 연구는 중년기 부부의 성인애착 유형에 관계없이 다름수용변인을 활용한 상담이 결혼만족도를 높일 수 있으며, 불안정 성인애착 유형에 따라서는 더 적절한 다름수용의 변인으로 개입하는 것이 결혼만족도 향상에 효과적임을 시사한다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점 및 추후 연구에 대해 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect of difference acceptance on the relationship between adult attachment and marital satisfaction among middle-aged couples. The participants of this study were midlife couples aged 40 to 65 in South Korea, and a total of 360 questionnaires measuring adult attachment style, difference acceptance in couple relationships, and marital satisfaction were analyzed. The data were analyzed using SPSS 27.0 to determine the mediating effects. The results showed that avoidant attachment and anxious attachment influenced marital satisfaction through difference acceptance. Also, the relationship between insecure adult attachment and marital satisfaction among midlife couples was fully mediated by difference acceptance. These findings indicate that difference acceptance plays a crucial role in enhancing marital satisfaction among couples with both avoidant and anxious attachment styles. This study implies that counseling intervention using difference acceptance variables can increase marital satisfaction in midlife couples regardless of their adult attachment style, and that interventions with appropriate difference acceptance variables are effective in improving marital satisfaction. Based on these findings, the implications, limitations, and suggestions of this study are discussed.
