Influencing factors of Academic Self-Efficacy and Critical Thinking Tendency on Learning Flow among Nursing Students

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate academic self-efficacy and critical thinking tendency which influence learning flow among nursing students. Methods: This study utilized a descriptive methodology, and the survey participants were 104 nursing students in B ctiy. Data were collected from self-reported questionnaires between May 1 and 30, 2018. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, an independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficient and multiple regression using the IBM SPSS 18.0 program. Results: There was a statistically positive correlation between learning flow and academic self-efficacy (r=.516,p <.001), critical thinking tendency (r=.600, p <.001). The factors influencing learning flow were critical thinking tendency, academic self-efficacy and Motivation for major selection, These variables explained 47.0% of Learning flow. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, In order to increase the Learning flow of nursing students, it is necessary to make program to increase academic self-efficacy and critical thinking tendency of the nursing students.
