Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine the level of COVID-19 experience, job stress and employment preparation behavior and the relationship between them in nursing students. Methods: The participants in this study were 158 nursing students in B city, U city, K city. The data were collected from 20 July 2021 to 30 August 2021. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson’s correlation coefficient through the SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. Results: The average ratings of COVID-19 experience, job stress and employment preparation behavior were 0.87 (0-1), 3.23 (1-5) and 2.59 (1-4) points. The general characteristics that showed significant differences with job stress were age (F=9.721, p <.001), methods for funding tuition fees (F=7.269, p <.001), satisfaction with major (F=5.262, p =.002), score (F=5.653, p =.001), health status (F=5.768, p =.004). There were significant positive correlations between COVID-19 experience, and employment preparation behavior of nursing students (r=.314, p <.001). Conclusion: Based on the results, When operating employment-related programs, support is needed for low-income earners, and programs that can provide the practical skills required for employment should be developed and applied.
