들뢰즈의 『차이와 반복』에서 나타난 시간론과 정신분석43) - 프로이트와 라캉을 중심으로 -

Deleuze’s Theory of Time and Psychoanalysis in Difference and Repetition: - With Reference to Freud and Lacan -

들뢰즈는 시간의 세 가지 종합을 정신분석 이론과 연관시켜 다루기 위해『차이와 반복』2장 대자적 반복의 4절 「반복과 무의식: “쾌락원칙을 넘어서”」를 할애한다. 그 제목에서도 알 수 있듯이 여기에서 이루어지는 일은 프로이트의 주요 논문인 「쾌락원칙을 넘어서」를 재해석하는 것이다. 그러나 들뢰즈는 프로이트 외에도 다양한 정신분석 이론을 동시에 참조할 뿐만 아니라 각 이론의 부분을 편집하여 자신의 철학에 녹여 냄으로써 해석에 어려움을 더한다. 라캉이 직접 언급되는 곳은 순수 과거를 다루는 두 번째 종합에서지만 들뢰즈가 프로이트를 해석하는 방식 곳곳에서 우리는 라캉의 흔적을 발견할 수 있다. 이에 따라 라캉의 정신분석학에 대한 이해는 독해의 난점을 해소하기 위해 요구된다. 그러나 죽음과의 조우를 통해 발생하게 되는 주체의 변화에 대해서 라캉과 들뢰즈는 다른 관점을 보인다. 이에 따라 본 논문은 들뢰즈의 시간의 세 가지 종합과 프로이트-라캉의 정신분석 이론이 교차 되는 동시에 분화되는 지점을 분석하고, 더 나아가 들뢰즈와 라캉의 이론에서 주체가 죽음과 마주하는 방식이 서로 어떻게 다른지 확인하는 것을 목표로 한다.

In Chapter 2 of Difference and Repetition, specifically in the fourth section titled “Repetition and the Unconscious: ‘Beyond the Pleasure Principle’,” Deleuze dedicates his analysis to connecting the three syntheses of time with psychoanalytic theory. As the title suggests, the primary task here is a reinterpretation of Freud’s seminal essay, Beyond the Pleasure Principle. However, Deleuze complicates this interpretation by not only referencing various psychoanalytic theories alongside Freud but also by editing and integrating parts of these theories into his own philosophy. Although Lacan is explicitly mentioned in the discussion of the second synthesis regarding the pure past, traces of his influence can be found throughout Deleuze’s interpretation of Freud. Consequently, an understanding of Lacanian psychoanalysis is required to resolve the difficulties in reading this text. Nevertheless, Lacan and Deleuze present diverging perspectives on the transformation of the subject that occurs through an encounter with death. Accordingly, this paper aims to analyze the points where Deleuze’s three syntheses of time intersect with and diverge from Freud-Lacanian psychoanalytic theory, and further to examine how the subject’s confrontation with death differs between the theories of Deleuze and Lacan.
