육아 미디어에 나타난 아버지와 자녀 간 의사소통 양상연구 -“슈퍼맨이 돌아왔다”의 사례를 중심으로

A study on the communication patterns between fathers and children in parenting media: focusing on “The return of superman”

본 연구는 육아 미디어에 나타난 아버지와 자녀 간 의사소통 양상을 탐색하기 위해 “슈퍼맨이 돌아왔다”에 등장한 준호 아버지와 은우·정우 형제를 대상으로 분석을 실시하였다. 이를 위해 전기·중기·후기의 세 시기로 구분하여 총 47회 영상을 수집한 뒤 릴리스(Lily’s AI) 도구를 활용해 유튜브 영상의 발화를 자동 전사하고 화자를 구분하며 타임코드를 부착하였다. 이후 질적 내용분석 방법(Creswell, 1998/2005)을 적용하여 아버지의 언어적·비언어적·준언어적 의사소통이 자녀 발달에 어떠한 의미를 지니는지를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 아버지의 의사소통은 전기에는 생활습관 지도와 작은 성취의 강화, 중기에는 형제 관계 조정과 사회적 규범 학습, 후기에는 공동체적 규범 내면화와 정서적 회복으로 확장되는 점진적 변화를 보였다. 이러한 결과는 아버지의 역할이 단순한 보조적 돌봄에 머무르지 않고 발달 전반을 조율하는 핵심적 맥락으로 작용함을 보여주며 특히 질적 상호작용의 내용과 방식이 자녀 발달에 결정적 영향을 미친다는 점을 시사한다.

This study explored the communication patterns between fathers and children as depicted in parenting media. Specifically, it analyzed a single case of one father, Jun-ho, and his two sons, Eun-woo and Jung-woo, who appeared on The Return of Superman. A total of 47 episodes aired from 2023 to 2024 were collected and categorized into three developmental periods: early childhood, middle childhood, and late preschool stage. Using the Lily’s AII transcription tool, the YouTube videos were automatically transcribed, speakers were identified, and time codes were attached. Qualitative content analysis (Creswell, 1998/2005) was then applied to examine how the father’s verbal, nonverbal, and paraverbal communication contributed to his children’s development. The analysis revealed that the father’s communication evolved gradually—from guiding daily routines and reinforcing small achievements in the early period, to mediating sibling relationships and teaching social norms in the middle period, and finally to encouraging the internalization of community values and emotional recovery in the late period. These results demonstrate that the father’s role goes beyond simple caregiving and functions as a central developmental context that supports emotional, social, and moral growth. In particular, the findings suggest that the content and quality of father–child interaction have a decisive influence on children’s developmental outcomes.
