Development of a socio-emotional development assessment rubric for constructing an AI-based early childhood socio-emotional evaluation system

본 연구는 유아교육기관에서 쉽게 활용할 수 있는 사회정서 발달평가 도구를 제공하고 평가의 접근성을 높이기 위한 인공지능을 활용한 유아 사회정서 평가 시스템 개발에 초점을 두었다. 이를 위해 사회정서 발달평가를 위한 루브릭의 시안을 마련하고, 그 적합성을 검토하기 위해 전문가의 설문으로 합의도, 수렴도, 내용타당도를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 수준별·문항별 루브릭이 합의도가 0.75이상, 수렴도가 0∼0.50사이, 내용타당도 비율(CVR)이 0.42이상의 값에 모두 충족하여 유아 사회정서발달 문항별 루브릭이 최종 선정되었다. 또한 루브릭 시안의 검사 양호도를 검증하기 위해 만 5세 유아를 대상으로 신뢰도, 구인타당도, 공인타당도를 확인한 결과 양호한 수준으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 수집된 유아의 음성데이터를 활용해 사회정서 발달을 평가할 수 있는 루브릭을 개발함으로써 인공지능 기반 유아 사회정서 발달평가의 새로운 장을 열었다는 데 의의가 크다.

To provide an easily accessible social-emotional development assessment tool for early childhood education institutions and enhance assessment accessibility, this study developed an AI-based early childhood social-emotional assessment system. Accordingly, a draft rubric for social-emotional development assessment was prepared, and its suitability was examined by analyzing expert consensus, convergence, and content validity through a survey. The level and item-specific rubrics met all criteria: agreement coefficient ≥ 0.75, convergence coefficient between 0 and 0.50, and content validity ratio ≥ 0.42. Consequently, the item-specific rubrics for early childhood social-emotional development were finalized. Furthermore, to verify the quality of the draft rubrics, reliability, construct validity, and criterion-related validity were assessed using 5-year-old children, satisfactory levels. This study is significant as it developed rubrics capable of evaluating social-emotional development using children’s audio data, thus opening a new chapter in AI-based early childhood social-emotional development assessment.
