취업스트레스가 자살생각에 미치는 영향: 속박감의 매개효과와 목표조절의 조절된 매개효과

The Effect of Job-Seeking Stress on Suicidal Ideation: The Mediating Effect of Entrapment and The Moderated Mediating Effect of Goal Adjustment

본 연구는 취업스트레스를 겪는 20대 청년들을 대상으로 취업스트레스와 자살생각의 관계에서 속박감의 매개효과를 검증하고, 속박감과 자살생각의 관계에서 목표조절이 완화요인으로서 조절된 매개효과가 나타나는지 검증하고자 한다. 이를 위해 서울특별시, 경기도, 충청도 등 전국을 대상으로 취업스트레스를 겪는 만 20~29세 청년 451명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였고, 부적합한 대상자와 불성실한 응답자 45부를 제외한 406부가 분석되었다. 자료 분석을 위해 IBM SPSS Statistics 23.4와 SPSS PROCESS Macro v4.2를 사용하였다. 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 취업스트레스와 자살생각의 관계에서 속박감의 완전매개효과가 나타났다. 둘째, 속박감과 자살생각의 관계에서 목표재조정의 조절효과를 확인하였다. 셋째, 취업스트레스가 속박감을 매개로 자살생각에 미치는 영향을 목표재조정이 조절하는 조절된 매개효과가 검증되었다. 본 연구는 O’Connor의 통합된 동기-의지 모형을 국내에서 검증하였고, 취업스트레스라는 구체적인 스트레스 상황에 초점을 두 고 속박감과 자살생각의 관계에서 목표조절의 조절효과를 확인함으로써 청년들의 자살예방에 구체적인 개입 방안을 마련하는 기초적인 자료를 제공한다.

This study aims to examine the mediating effect of entrapment in the relationship between Job-Seeking stress and suicidal ideation among young adults in their 20s. Furthermore, it seeks to investigate whether goal adjustment capacity serves as a moderating factor in the relationship between entrapment and suicidal ideation, demonstrating a moderated mediation effect. An online survey was conducted with 451 individuals aged 20–29 experiencing Job-Seeking stress across Seoul, Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, and other regions in South Korea. After excluding 45 invalid or insincere responses, 406 valid responses were analyzed. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 23.4 and SPSS PROCESS Macro v4.2. The main findings are as follows: First, entrapment fully mediated the relationship between Job-Seeking stress and suicidal ideation. Second, goal reengagement was confirmed to have a moderating effect on the relationship between entrapment and suicidal ideation. Third, a moderated mediation effect was validated, where goal re-engagement moderated the impact of Job-Seeking stress on suicidal ideation through the mediation of entrapment. This study verifies the applicability of O’Connor’s Integrated Motivational-Volitional Model (IMV) within the Korean context. By focusing on the specific stressor of Job-Seeking stress, the study provides foundational data for developing targeted interventions to prevent suicide among young adults, highlighting the importance of goal adjustment capacity in the relationship between entrapment and suicidal ideation.
