중학생의 체육수업에 대한 스포츠유능감과 교과흥미 및 체육수업행복의 관계

Relationships among Sport Competence, Subject Interest, and Happiness in Physical Education Classes among Middle School Students

이 연구는 중학생의 체육수업에서 스포츠유능감과 교과흥미 및 체육수업행복의 관계모형을 실증적으로 규명하는 데 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 연구 대상은 부산광역시 소재 4개 중학교 재학생 320명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였으며, 결측 또는 불성실 응답 5부를 제외한 315부를 분석에 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 IBM SPSS 29.0을 이용하여 설문지의 신뢰도와 타당도 검사, 기술통계분석, 상관분석을 실시하였으며, IBM AMOS 29.0을 이용하여 확인적 요인분석 및 구조방정식모형 검증을 실시하였다. 이러한 연구 과정을 통해 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 중학생의 체육수업에 대한 스포츠유능감과 교과흥미 그리고 체육수업행복 간에는 서로 정적인 상관관계가 있다. 둘째, 중학생의 체육수업에 대한 스포츠유능감과 교과흥미 그리고 체육수업행복의 인과관계가 있다. 셋째, 중학생의 체육수업에 대한 스포츠유능감과 교과흥미 및 체육수업행복의 인과모형은 완전매개모형이 적합하다. 결론적으로, 중학생의 체육수업에서 스포츠유능감과 교과흥미와 체육수업행복은 완전매개모형에서 적합한 인과적 관계를 형성하고 있으며, 교과흥미는 스포츠유능감과 체육수업행복의 관련성을 매개하는 주요 변인이라 할 수 있다.

This study aimed to empirically verify the structural model linking sport competence, subject interest, and happiness in physical education (PE) among middle school students. Data were collected from 320 students enrolled in four middle schools in Busan, Republic of Korea; after excluding five incomplete or insincere responses, 315 questionnaires were analyzed. Using IBM SPSS 29.0, reliability and validity checks, descriptive statistics, and Pearson correlations were conducted, and confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling were performed with IBM AMOS 29.0. The findings were as follows. First, sport competence, subject interest, and PE class happiness showed mutually positive correlations. Second, the causal relations among sport competence, subject interest, and PE class happiness were supported. Third, model comparison indicated that a full-mediation model was most appropriate, such that the association between sport competence and PE class happiness was explained through subject interest. In conclusion, sport competence, subject interest, and PE class happiness constitute an empirically supported causal chain best represented by a full-mediation model, with subject interest serving as the key mediator between competence and happiness in middle-school PE.
