치매안심센터 맞춤형 사례관리가 가족 부양 부담 경감에 미치는 효과: 신규회원과 기존회원 비교

The effect of individualized case management on reducing family caregiving burden: A comparison of new and on-going members at a dementia center

본 연구는 치매안심센터의 맞춤형 사례관리가 가족 부양 부담 경감에 미치는 효과를 실증적으로 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 D광역시 A구 치매안심센터에 등록한 치매노인 보호자 200명을 대상으로 전실험설계의 정태적 집단 비교설계를 적용하여, 맞춤형 사례관리 신규회원(비교집단)과 기존회원(실험집단) 보호자의 부양 부담을 비교․분석하였다. 분석 결과, 위계적 다중회귀분석에서 일반적 특성을 통제한 후에도 기존회원 보호자가 신규회원에 비해 가족 부양 부담이 낮게 나타나, 치매안심센터 맞춤형 사례관리의 부양 부담 경감 효과를 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 치매안심센터의 맞춤형 사례관리를 위한 실천적 함의를 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of Individualized Case Management(ICM) provided by a local dementia center in alleviating the caregiving burden. For this purpose, this study recruited 200 family caregivers of the elderly with dementia at the dementia center in A-Gu, D Metropolitan City, South Korea. The research employed a static group comparison design to compare the difference in caregiving burden between new members (comparison group, n=100) and on-going members (experimental group, n=100) of the ICM. After controlling for general characteristics, a hierarchical multiple regression analysis was conducted and found that the caregiving burden for on-going members was significantly lower than for new members. Based on these findings, the study confirmed the effect of ICM in reducing the caregiving burden and discussed practical implications for enhancing the ICM at local dementia centers.
