지속가능발전에 기여하는 에코뮤지엄 디자인 - 이탈리아 에코뮤지엄의 최소요건을 중심으로 -

Ecomuseum Design for Sustainable Development - Focusing on the Minimum Requirements of the Italian Ecomuseums -

본 연구의 목적은 이탈리아 에코뮤지엄 지침의 최소요건 조항 연구를 통하여, 우리나라의 에코뮤지엄 설립과 발전에 기여하는 데 있다. 에코뮤지엄의 철학과 실천적인 유산해석방식은 프랑스에서 시작되어 유럽, 아시아, 전 세계로 확장되었다. 2016년 이탈리아 밀라노에서 개최된 제24회 ICOM 총회에서 ‘박물관과 문화경관’을 주제로 에코뮤지엄과 커뮤니티뮤지엄 포럼이 개최된다. 이후에 이탈리아 에코뮤지엄 네트워크의 활동은 매우 활발하게 진행되었다. 이 연구는 꾸준하게 발전하고 있는 이탈리아 에코뮤지엄 네트워크가 승인한 ‘이탈리아 에코뮤지엄 지침 및 최소요구사항’에 주목했다. 여기에는 매우 구체적인 운영방안이 서술되어 있다. 에코뮤지엄의 설립 단계에 있다거나 경험이 부족하여 프로젝트 기획에 어려움이 있는 경우 등 다양한 상황에 놓인 에코뮤지엄들이 실전에서 적용할 수 있는 지혜가 담겨있다. 이는 에코뮤지엄을 통한 미래 환경 디자인에 기여한다. 본고는 ‘이탈리아 에코뮤지엄 지침 및 최소요구사항’의 내용 가운데 ‘최소요건’을 검토하였다. 그리고 에코뮤지엄의 운영 단계별 특징에 따라 연구하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 앞으로 우리나라에 생겨나거나 현재 유지되고 있는 에코뮤지엄들의 구체적인 실천에 영감을 주고자 하였다. 이 연구가 우리나라 에코뮤지엄 설립과 운영에 실질적인 도움을 줄 수 있기를 바란다.

The purpose of this study is to contribute to the establishment and development of ecomuseums in Korea by examining the minimum requirements of the Italian Ecomuseums Guidelines. The philosophy and practical approach to heritage interpretation of ecomuseums originated in France and has expanded to Europe, Asia, and the world. At the 24th ICOM General Conference held in Milan, Italy in 2016, a forum on ecomuseums and community museums was held under the theme of ‘Museums and Cultural Landscapes.’ Since then, the Italian Ecomuseum Network has experienced significant development. This study focuses on the “Guidelines and Minimum Requirements for Italian Ecomuseums,” approved by the steadily developing Italian Ecomuseums Network. This document outlines highly specific operational plan. They offer practical wisdom applicable to ecomuseums in a variety of situations, including those in the initial stages of establishment or those facing project planning challenges due to inexperience. These guidelines contribute to the design of future environments through ecomuseums. This paper examines the “minimum requirements” of the “Italian Ecomuseum Guidelines and Minimum Requirements.” It then examines the characteristics of each stage of ecomuseums operation. Through this study, we aim to provide inspiration for the specific practices of ecomuseums currently established or established in Korea. We hope this study will provide practical assistance for the establishment and operation of ecomuseums in Korea.
