노인의 사회적 고립의 분포 실태와 영향 요인 연관성 연구: 개인적⋅사회적⋅환경적 영향 요인을 중심으로

An Analysis of Social Isolation Types and Their Associated Influencing Factors in Older Adults: Focusing on Personal, Social, and Environmental Factors

목적 : 본 연구는 국내 노인의 사회적 고립 유형을 파악하고, 개인적, 사회적, 환경적 요인이 각 고립 유형에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법 : 2023년 노인실태조사 자료를 활용하여 9,951명의 데이터를 분석하였다. 노인의 사회적 고립을 구조적 고립, 접촉 고립, 기능적 고립의 세 가지 유형으로 구분하여 유형별 고립 점수를 조사하였으며, 유형별 사회적 고립과 주요 요인 사이의 연관성을 확인하기 위해 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 결과 : 구조적⋅접촉⋅기능적 고립의 고득점군과 저득점군은 성별, 연령대, 경제활동 상태, 교육수준 분포에서 모두 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 각 고립 점수는 주관적 건강 상태, 전자기기 활용능력, 주거지 만족도 등의 변수와 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 특히, 주관적 건강 상태와 전자기기 활용 능력, 사회참여 만족도, 주거지 만족도는 모든 사회적 고립 유형에서 주요한 영향 요인으로 나타났다. 결론 : 본 연구는 노인의 사회적 고립 유형화와 영향 요인을 심층적으로 분석하여, 맞춤형 중재 개발의 필요성을 제안한다. 향후 종단 연구와 유형별 고립 변수의 고려를 통해 노인 사회적 고립 문제를 해결하기 위한 실질적인 정책 및 맞춤형 프로그램 설계에 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Objective : This study aimed to identify types of social isolation among older adults in Korea and analyze the effects of individual, social, and environmental factors on each type. Methods : Data were obtained from the 2023 National Survey of Older Koreans and included responses from 9,951 participants. Social isolation among older adults was classified into three types, and isolation scores were calculated for each type. Multiple regression analyses were conducted to explore the associations between social isolation types and major influencing factors. Results : Significant differences between high- and low-isolation score groups were observed in terms of gender, age, economic activity, and educational level. Isolation scores correlated significantly with subjective health status, electric device capability, and residence satisfaction. In addition, satisfaction with social participation emerged as a key influencing factor across all types of social isolation. Conclusion : These findings highlight the need to develop tailored interventions that address social isolation among older adults. Future longitudinal research and consideration of type-specific isolation variables may serve as a foundation for practical policy development and the design of customized programs aimed at mitigating social isolation in later life.
