서울 청년의 취·창업 준비 유용성과 사회참여의 관계: 삶의 만족의 매개효과를 중심으로

The Relationship among Usefulness of Employment and, Start-up Preparation, and Social Participation of the Seoul Youth: Focusing on the Mediating Effect of Life Satisfaction

본 연구에서는 서울 지역에 거주하는 청년이 지각하는 취·창업 준비 유용성, 삶의 만족, 사회참여의 구조적 관계를 규명하고자 하였다. 구체적 연구문제는 첫째, 청년의 취·창업 준비 유용성, 삶의 만족, 사회참여의 관계는 어떠한가? 둘째, 청년의 취·창업 준비 유용성과 사회참여의 관계에서 삶의 만족의 매개효과가 있는가?로 설정하였다. SPSS 27.0과 AMOS 27.0을 활용하여 2022년 2차 서울청년패널 데이터 1,074개 자료를 분석한 연구 결과에 따르면 첫째, 청년의 취·창업 준비 유용성, 삶의 만족, 사회참여 간 구조 모형은 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 취·창업 준비 유용성은 삶의 만족에 유의한 영향을 미치며, 삶의 만족은 사회참여에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 청년의 취·창업 준비 유용성과 사회참여의 관계에서 삶의 만족의 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 통하여 청년의 사회참여 높이기 위해 취·창업 준비 유용성과 삶의 만족에 대한 인식 제고를 위한 실천전략이 제안되었다.

This study examined the relationship among the usefulness of employment and start-up preparation, life satisfaction, and social participation among the youth in Seoul, South Korea. The analysis used panel data from 1,074 participants in the second wave of the 2022 Seoul Youth Panel Study, which were analyzed using SPSS 27.0 and AMOS 27.0. The analysis revealed several key findings. First, the structural model assessing the relationships among the usefulness of employment and start-up preparation, life satisfaction, and social participation was determined to be appropriate. Specifically, the usefulness of employment and start-up preparation was found to have a significant positive effect on life satisfaction, which, in turn, had a significant positive effect on social participation. Second, the study identified the mediating effect of life satisfaction on the relationship among the usefulness of employment, start-up preparation, and social participation. Based on these findings, this study proposes strategies to improve the youth’s life satisfaction levels.
