작업치료전공 대학생의 변인별 노인에 대한 지식과 태도에 미치는 영향

The Impact of Variables on Knowledge and Attitudes toward the Elderly among Occupational Therapy Majors Students

목적 본 연구는 작업치료전공 대학생의 변인별 노인에 대한 지식과 태도에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보고자 실시하였다. 연구방법 연구 대상은 작업치료전공 대학생 73명이며, 기간은 2025년 9월에 약 1주간 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 25.0 Ver. 을 통해 대상자의 일반적인 특성은 빈도분석, 변인별 수준은 집단별 평균비교, 변인별 지식과 태도에 미치는 영향은 선형회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 독립변수인 성별, 학년, 조부모와 거주 경험, 노인 관련 이론과목 수강경험, 노인 관련 실기과목 수강경험, 현재/과거 노인 접촉경험이 종속변수인 노인에 대한 지식과 태도에 미치는 영향을 알아본 결과는 다음과 같다. 지식은 성별은 노인에 대한 지식에 β=-.340, t=-2.611, p<.05, 학년은 노인에 대한 태도에 β=.342, t=2.294, p<.05로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 본 연구에서 얻은 결과를 통해 작업치료전공 대학생의 졸업 후 향후 노인분야 취업 준비 및 노인에 대한 서비스에 대한 질적인 개선을 위해 다양한 변인들을 고려할 필요가 있다.

Objective : This study was conducted to examine the impact of variables on knowledge and attitudes toward the elderly in occupational therapy majors students. Methods : The study subjects were 73 college students majoring in occupational therapy, and the study was conducted for approximately one week in September 2025. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 Ver. for general characteristics, group mean comparisons for each variable, and linear regression analysis to examine the impact of each variable on knowledge and attitudes. Results : The independent variables gender, grade, experience of living with grandparents, experience of taking theory courses related to elderly, experience of taking practical courses related to elderly, and present/past experience with elderly contact on the dependent variable knowledge and attitudes toward the elderly were examined. The results are as follows. Gender significantly influenced knowledge about the elderly (β=-.340, t=-2.611, p<.05), and grade significantly influenced attitudes toward the elderly (β=.342, t=2.294, p<.05). Conclusion : The results of this study suggest that various variables should be considered to prepare undergraduate occupational therapy majors for future employment in the field of elderly care and to improve the quality of services provided to the elderly.
