교사의 교권 침해 경험에 대한 질적 연구

A Qualitative Study on Teachers’ Experiences of Violations of Teacher Rights

연구 배경 : 2023년 초등학교 교사의 죽음을 발단으로 학교에서의 교권 침해 행위가 심각함을 인식하게 되었고, 교육활동 보호를 희망하는 교사들의 요구가 확대되고 있어 교권 보호 대책 연구가 필요하다. 연구 목적 : 교사들의 교권 침해 경험을 알아보고, 피해 교사의 행동 및 정서적 변화를 분석하여 도울 수 있는 방법을 찾는다. 연구 방법 : 현상학적 연구 방법을 활용하여 교권 침해를 경험한 교사들을 인터뷰하고 교권 침해 사례, 피해 교사들이 느끼는 어려움과 행동적, 심리적 변화, 필요로 하는 도움에 관해 연구한다. 연구 결과 : 학부모에 의해 다양한 유형의 교권 침해를 겪은 교사들은 부정적 행동 및 심리적인 변화를 경험한다. 피해 교사들은 현실적인 법적 도움과 학교 내에서 구축해야 할 시스템의 필요를 느끼고 있다. 시사점 : 다양한 교권 침해에 대한 국가 차원의 문제의식이 필요하다. 교권이 보호될 수 있는 현실적인 법 개정이 지속적으로 이루어져야 하고 공공시설로서의 학교 시스템의 정비가 필요하다. 그리고 교권 침해를 경험한 교사에 대한 지원 시스템을 갖추어야 한다.

Background : Following the tragic death of an elementary school teacher in 2023, awareness of the seriousness of teachers’ rights violations in schools has grown. As teachers increasingly demand protection for their educational activities, research on effective measures to safeguard teachers’ authority has become essential. Purpose : This study aims to explore teachers’ experiences of rights violations, analyze their emotional and behavioral responses, and identify effective ways to provide support. Methodology : Using a phenomenological research approach, interviews were conducted with teachers who had experienced infringements of their professional authority. The study examined specific cases, the difficulties teachers faced, their emotional and behavioral changes, and the types of support they required. Conclusions : Teachers who suffered from various forms of rights violations by parents experienced significant emotional distress and negative behavioral changes. They expressed the need for practical legal support and systematic frameworks within schools to address such issues. Implications : There is a need for national-level awareness and policy reform to protect teachers’ authority. Continuous legal improvements and the establishment of a well-structured support system for affected teachers are essential to ensure that schools remain safe and professional educational spaces.
