This study used data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2023) hosted by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency to identify the impact of depression experience and subjective stress on suicidal ideation in Korean adults, and to analyze differences in risk factors according to gender characteristics. A study was conducted on a total of 5,364 people subject to final analysis. As a result of logistic regression analysis, the rate was significantly higher in men in the current smoking group(OR=1.801, 95% CI=1.079-3.005), subjective stress perception group(OR=5.412, 95% CI=3.027-9.674), and depression experience group (OR=14.533, 95% CI=8.570-24.646), and in women, subjective stress perception group was significantly higher, group(OR=4.969, 95% CI=3.182-7.759) and the group experiencing depression(OR=11.195, 95% CI=7.432-16.864). This study was focused on quantitative analysis, and in the future, there is a need to investigate the impact of suicidal ideation by including various psychosocial variables such as more in-depth social support and life satisfaction through qualitative or mixed methods research.
