This study aimed to describe the suicide literacy and mental health literacy of nursing students. The study was performed with a descriptive survey design. The subjects of the study were 382 nursing students in G city. The study period was from September 1 to September 20, 2025. Data were collected with a structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed with IBM SPSS statistics 21.0 program using t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe, and Pearson correlation coefficients. The average scores of nursing students were 11.60±2.42 for suicide literacy, 11.54±3.01 for mental health literacy. Suicide literacy was significant in grade(t=-2.587, p=.010), experience with suicide prevention education(t=2.426, p=.016), experience with mental health or illness education(t=2.662, p=.008), self awareness of mental health or mental disorder(F=3.894, p=.021). Mental health literacy was significant in gender(t=2.328, p=.022), experience with suicide prevention education(t=4.096, p<.001), experience with mental health or illness education(t=4.235, p<.001), self awareness of suicide prevention(F=5.718, p=.004), self awareness of mental health or mental disorder(F=7.891, p<.001). There was a positive correlation between suicide literacy and mental health literacy(r=0.30, p<.001). Therefore, it is necessary to develop an educational program that can enhance the suicide literacy and mental health literacy of nursing students.
