소고를 활용한 전래동요 지도방안 연구: 초등학교 1~2학년을 중심으로

A Study on Instructional Strategies for Teaching Traditional Korean Children’s Songs Using the Sogo: Focusing on Students in Grades 1-2

본 연구는 2022 개정 초등 통합교과 즐거운 생활에 제시된 소고 활동을 분석하여 초등 1~2학년의 발달 특성과 전래동요의 음악적 요소에 적합한 교수⋅학습 방안을 마련하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 분석 결과, 소고 활동은 기본 박⋅장단 인지, 타법 기반 연주 학습, 노래⋅신체표현 통합, 메기고 받기⋅상호작용의 네 가지 기능으로 나타났으며 이것은 저학년의 신체⋅놀이 중심 음악학습과 영유아기의 신체 기반 음악경험이 초등 초기로 확장된다는 관점과 부합하였다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 본 연구는 소고 활동의 기능을 중심으로 한 네 가지 교수모형을 제안하였으며, 저학년이 전래동요의 핵심 음악 요소를 발달 단계에 맞게 경험할 수 있도록 구조화한 기초적 수업틀로서 의미를 갖는다.

This study analyzes Sogo activities presented in the 2022 revised elementary integrated-subject textbook Pleasant Life and develops an instructional model aligned with the musical and developmental characteristics of students in grade 1-2. The analysis identified four functional types of Sogo activities: beat and rhythmic-cycle recognition, basic Sogo playing techniques, integration of singing and bodily expression, and call-and-response interactions. These functions reflect body-centered and play-based musical learning in early elementary grades and align with the continuity of musical experiences established in early childhood. Based on these findings, four function-based instructional models are proposed to support young learners in experiencing the essential musical elements of traditional children’s songs in developmentally appropriate ways.
