목회자 사모의 정서표현이 사역소진에 미치는 영향 : 성도와의 관계 질의 매개효과

The Impact of Pastors' Wives' Emotional Expressions on Ministry Burnout : The Mediating Effect of Relationship Quality with Congregation Members

본 연구는 목회자 사모의 정서표현이 사역소진에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 성도와의 관계질의 매개효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 목회자 사모 186명을 대상으로 편의표집하여 설문을 실시하였다. 자료분석을 위해 SPSS 22.0과 Process Macro 4.2를 사용하였으며, 연구대상의 인구통계학적 변인에 대한 빈도 분석과 척도의 신뢰도 검증 (Cronbach’α)을 하였다. 또한 주요 변인의 특성을 파악하기 위한 기술통계분석을 실시하였고, 변인들 간 관계 파악을 위해 Pearson 상관분석을 하였다. 이와 함께 목회자 사모의 정서표현이 사역소진의 관계에서 관계의 질의 매개효과는 SPSS Process Macro model number 4를 통해 파악하였다. 마지막으로 매개효과의 통계적 유의성 검증은 부트스트래핑 테스트 (Bootstrapping-test) 방법을 적용하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 목회자 사모의 정서표현은 성도와의 관계의 질과 유의한 정적 상관을 보였고, 사역소진과는 유의한 부적 상관이 나타났다. 또 목회자 사모의 성도와의 관계의 질과 사역소진은 높은 부적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 성도와의 관계의 질은 목회자 사모의 정서표현과 사역소진의 관계에서 부분매개효과를 보였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 통해 성도와의 관계의 질이 사역소진을 유의하게 낮추는 변수로 나타난 것은 단순히 목회자 사모가 감정을 억제하지 않는 것을 넘어 관계의 질을 개선하는 방식으로 감정을 표현하도록 돕는 것이 필요하다는 것을 시사한다.

This study examined the impact of emotional expression by pastors’ wives on ministry burnout and explored the mediating role of relationship quality with congregants. A survey was conducted with 186 participants using convenience sampling, and data were analyzed with SPSS 22.0 and Process Macro 4.2. Reliability testing, descriptive statistics, and Pearson correlations were performed, followed by mediation analysis using Process Macro model 4 with bootstrapping. Results showed that emotional expression was positively correlated with relationship quality and negatively correlated with ministry burnout. Relationship quality also had a strong negative correlation with burnout and partially mediated the link between emotional expression and burnout. These findings highlight that improving relationship quality significantly reduces ministry burnout, suggesting that pastors’ wives benefit not only from expressing emotions but from doing so in ways that strengthen relational bonds within the church community.
