인공지능 윤리의 예술적 실천을 위한 고등학교 미디어아트 교육 프로그램 개발 및 실행

Development and Implementation of a Media Art Education Program for High School Students toward the Artistic Practice of AI Ethics

본 연구는 고등학생을 대상으로 인공지능 윤리의 예술적 실천을 위한 미디어아트 교육프로그램을 개발·실행하고, 이에 따른 학습자의 경험을 분석하여 교육적 시사점을 도출하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 미술교육에서 인공지능 윤리 역량 함양을 목표로 ‘윤리적 쟁점 탐구’, ‘기술의 실험적 탐색’, ‘비판적 예술 창작’, ‘사회적 실천 및 성찰’의 단계로 구성된 20차시의 수업을 실행하였다. 수집된 질적 자료를 분석한 결과, 학습자들에게서 나타난 인공지능 윤리의 예술적 실천 양상은 크게 ‘인공지능 이면에 대한 비판적 인식’, ‘인공지능 시스템에 대한 예술적 개입’, ‘실천을 통한 윤리적 주체의 성장’으로 범주화되었다. 이를 통해 학습자들은 미술교육에서의 인공지능 윤리 역량을 다각적으로 발휘하여 기술 사회의 윤리적 쟁점에 비판적이면서도 창의적인 목소리를 내는 실천적 행위 주체로 성장하였음을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 인공지능 기술을 비판적으로 다룬 미디어아트를 매개로 기술 체험, 감상 및 비평, 창작 활동을 유기적으로 연계함으로써 기존의 인공지능 윤리교육과 차별화된 미술교육 실천 모델을 제안하고 그 방법론적 토대를 구축하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

This study aims to develop and implement a media art education program for high school students to foster the artistic practice of artificial intelligence (AI) ethics and to derive educational implications by analyzing learners' experiences. To this end, a 20-session art course was conducted to cultivate AI ethical competencies in art education, sequentially organized into four stages: 'inquiry into ethical issues,' 'experimental exploration of technology,' 'critical artistic creation,' and 'social practice and reflection.' The analysis of the collected qualitative data revealed that the learners' artistic practice of AI ethics manifested in three distinct categories: 'critical awareness of the hidden dimensions of AI,' 'artistic intervention into AI systems,' and 'ethical empowerment through social practice.' Through this, learners successfully demonstrated a comprehensive set of AI ethical competencies within art education, thereby emerging as active agents who voice critical and creative perspectives on the ethical concerns of a technological society. This study holds significance as it proposes a practical art education program distinct from conventional AI ethics education. This program establishes a methodological foundation by organically integrating technological experience, appreciation and criticism, and creative production via media art that critically engages with AI technology.
