생활주제를 활용한 예비유아교사의 교재교구 개발 경험과 인식 변화 탐색

Exploring Pre-service Early Childhood Teachers’ Experiences and Changes in Perceptions of Developing Teaching Materials Using Life Themes

본 연구는 예비유아교사가 생활주제를 활용한 교재교구를 개발하면서 겪는 경험과 인식 변화를 알아보고자 수행되었다. 연구참여자는 유아교과교육 연구 및 지도법을 수강하는 4년제 대학 유아교육과 2학년 학생 28명이었다. FGI, 개인 반성적 저널을 수집하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 예비유아교사들은 생활주제와 교재교구 개발을 연계하는 것을 자신없고 불명확하게 인식하고 있었다. 예비유아교사들은 교재교구 개발 과정을 통해 생활주제와 교재교구의 관계를 점차 유아의 일상 경험, 흥미영역, 놀이 확장까지 함께 고려하도록 인식이 변화하였다. 본 연구의 결론은 첫째, 예비유아교사가 교재교구를 제작할 때 충분히 계획할 수 있도록 지원하는 것이 중요하다. 둘째, 예비유아교사가 유아의 일상 경험과 관련 있는 생활주제를 연계하여 교재교구를 제작하였을 때 유아의 흥미를 높이고, 유아 스스로 교재교구의 다양한 활용을 할 수 있다.

This study aimed to explore the experiences and changes in perceptions of pre-service early childhood teachers had while developing teaching materials using life themes. Participants were 28 second-year students in the Early Childhood Education Department at a four-year university, taking a course in Early Childhood Education Research and Instruction. Focus group interviews and personal journal entries were collected and analyzed. The study results revealed that prospective early childhood teachers lacked confidence and had unclear perceptions of linking life themes to the development of teaching materials. Through the process of developing teaching materials, prospective early childhood teachers experienced a shift in their perceptions through the use of life themes. This study concludes that, first, it is important to support prospective early childhood teachers in sufficient planning when developing teaching materials. Second, when prospective early childhood teachers create teaching materials by linking life themes relevant to children's daily experiences, they increase children's interest and enable them to utilize the materials in a variety of ways.
